Program OverviewDesert Voices is committed to teaching deaf and hard of hearing children spoken language. We accomplish that by providing a highly individualized program for each child who attends. The program combines intense and focused language instruction in a small group setting, coupled with less individualized instruction in a larger group setting.

With the ability to provide services for children as young as four weeks of age, the foundation for a lifetime of learning through the use of spoken language can be laid early in a deaf child’s life.

Desert Voices currently provides services through two different programs: Early Intervention Program, which services our youngest clients, from 4 weeks through 3 years of age and our Pre-School & Early Elementary, which is our full day program for children ages 3 to kindergarten or first grade. A child is admitted after being evaluated and has met the school’s criteria.

Desert Voices is a not-for-profit,  private school that is committed to implementing Moog techniques for teaching deaf children to talk. All teachers, staff and board members understand our and are committed to implementing it to maximize student success.
